Lanternfork

A storyworld where every choice has a price.

Lanternfork is a storyworld for teenagers who want to practise real-life decisions without being lectured. Every choice has a price, consequences unfold over the story, and a rewind lets you go back and see where the other path led.

Teens learn the price of a choice by paying it.

Life-skills content usually reads like a lesson, and teenagers can smell a lesson from a mile away.

A story where choices cost something, and where you can rewind and compare, lets them practise the hard ones safely.

How it works

  1. Step into a scene

A situation from real teenage life, inside a world worth returning to.

  2. Choose

Every option has a cost, and none is labelled as the right one.

  3. Rewind and compare

Go back to the fork and see where the other path would have led.

What makes it different

A story, not a lesson

No mascots, no morals, nothing that reads as “for younger kids”.

Choices cost something

Consequences build across a story instead of resolving in one line.

Reviewed for safety

Scenarios go to a youth counsellor before any teen plays them.

Where it stands

Early research, as of October 2026.

Built

  • The decisions record, a recruiting and consent kit, and a first prototype scenario.

Now

  • Counsellor review of the first scenario, and lining up the first teen reads.

Next

  • World and cast options, and an art style chosen with teens.
