Writer Training
Short writing reps, honest scoring, a clear next step.
Writer Training is a practice desk for writers between drafts. You get a live situation, write three to five lines inside one constraint, and get an assessment against a rubric published up front. Every judgment points back to a line on your own page.
Writers get praise or silence. Neither makes the next draft better.
Feedback from friends is kind, feedback from the internet is loud, and a full script review takes weeks. What helps is a small, honest read of a small piece of work, every day.
How it works
Get a situation
A live scene with a show, a cast and a comic engine. Not a blank prompt.
Write the lines
Three to five lines inside one constraint.
Read the score card
For each dimension: the rubric anchor, your own words quoted as evidence, the score, and what the next level requires.
Come back tomorrow
One assessed rep a day, and a record of how your writing moves.
What makes it different
The rubric comes first
You can read exactly how you will be judged before you write a word.
No composite grade
No single number, no letter grade, no colour code. Five dimensions, each with its own evidence.
You can push back
A visible “I think this is wrong” sits right next to the score.
